RRBATA Breakfast at Soltan Pepper Restaurant 7th Sept 2012

The RRBATA Committee held a very successful breakfast program with about 30 business men and women as well as community group representatives attending.

MRSC CEO Peter Johnston addresses the business breakfast with a presentation involving the MRSC strategic planning, the statistics of the Shire, the importance of Industry and Tourism and the Council Services. The Financial Statistics were discussed, property evaluations, the Rates Calculation, the Community Satisfaction Survey, the impact of issues facing local government today and the detailed proposals for Romsey township (including the Proposed Junior Pavillion at Romsey PS, the proposed Senior Pavillion at Romsey Park, and the Romsey Community Sports Oval Project).

RRBATA President Jenny Stillman presented Peter Johnston with a RRBATA Showbag.

Financial Planner Patrick Quigley talked about the Global economy and the pressures facing investments and superannuation funds. He discussed investment strategies in the current market, the high Australian dollar and its impact on exports as well as the mining boom (which appears to have plateaued out at the moment). RRBATA President Jenny Stillman presented Patrick with a RRBATA Showbag.
