Flooding of Lions Park - Victorian and Queensland Floods

Due to recent rain over the last few days, the Five Mile Creek has flooded the Lions Park. Many roads throughout the Macedon Ranges have been temporarily closed due to water over the roads.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our fellow Australians in Queensland as they battle one of the worst disasters in their history.

Donations to the Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and Safeway/Woolworths stores can be made. Safeway/Woolworths are donating dollar for dollar - funds raised so far are $1.5 million. Dig deep.

The Premier's Fund is nearing $100 million thanks to the generous donations of Australians and their governments.

Donations can be made via online at http://www.qld.gov.au/floods
or by ringing (Toll Free) 1800 219 028.

In Victoria, townships of Carisbrook, Qambatook, Kerang, Rupanyup, Donald, Skipton, Maryborough, Kyneton, Redesdale, Daylesford, Clunes, Ararat, Charlton, Horsham, Echuca, Rochester, and parts of the Great Ocean Road are affected by the floods.

The Wimmera, Avoca, Campaspe and Loddon Rivers are currently at record levels. Rainfall totals for week ending Jan 16 range from 150 mm to 300 mm.
