ROMSEY-LANCEFIELD & DISTRICT AMBULANCE AUXILIARY REPORT
Thank you to all the generous people of our community who supported our book sale in September. In wet conditions our auxiliary sold left over donated books at our May book fair. Three hundred dollars was raised on this day and combined with over $1000.00 raised from our earlier sale we are thrilled with our achievements. We would like to thank all those people who generously donated books and those who came to purchase them and also RBATA who supported us by donating carry bags.
As usual our paramedics showed their continued support for the auxiliary and community by turning up in full uniform while on their rest breaks , and with some on leave. You may often see the local crew in the area supporting local businesses when on their down time, always ready to respond to calls. Our aim for the auxiliary is to raise funds so items and equipment that the paramedics and station need can be purchased. Not many people realise that because we are in a rural location some potentially life-saving equipment is not provided by RAV for all vehicles as standard issue. Ambulance membership contributions do not go towards purchases of equipment or infrastructure, so it is with this in mind that we are determined to be able to provide our local station and staff with the most update resources.
YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU MAY NEED TO CALL AN AMBULANCE
Without the community support we are not able to raise these funds.
Our next project is cooking the BBQ at the Lancefield Farmer’s Market on Saturday 27th November so we hope to see you all there.
